In the title match of World Chess Championship 2014, current world champion, Magnus Carlsen of Norway drew with challenger and five-time Viswanathan Anand of India in the first game in Sochi, Russia Saturday.After an aggressive start from the Indian Grand Master, the Norwegian whiz kid played a brilliant mid-game to wrest back initiative. Anand started losing the plot in the middle and committed errors towards the end. But, a brilliant move at the very end of the game helped Anand to force a draw.The first player to attain Six and a Half points will become world champion. A win fetches One Point, while a Draw will earn Half-a-Point.The Championship Match will consist of 12 games and if necessary, tie-break games.
