The Supreme Court today sought assistance of Special Public Prosecutor in 2G case to decide a plea filed against CBI director Ranjit Sinha in visitors' list controversy.

The apex court said, the view of Special Public Prosecutor has to be considered as any order by the court will have ramification in 2G cases. It also turned down plea of Mr Sinha that the case filed against him should not be heard and be dismissed.

Mr Sinha told the court that there has been no interference in any of the cases probed by the premier agency.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has agreed to hear the NGO, CPIL's plea for recalling its order by which it had directed that name of the whistle blower be revealed.

Last week, the NGO had declined to disclose the identity of the whistle blower who provided it the visitors’ diary at CBI Director Ranjit Sinha’s residence.

It had told the court that life of the whistleblower will be in danger if his or her name is revealed.
