The second Vishwa Marathi Sahitya Sammelan will conclude in Dubai this evening. Organised by the Maharashtra Mandal, Dubai, the sammelan is being chaired by Veteran Marathi litterateur Mangesh Padgaonkar. The famous Marathi authors Suresh Khare, Kishore Kadam, Shankar Abhyankar, Chandra Kant Patil, , Vidya Devdhar are among others who are attending the three day sammelan. The organiser of the eventt and president of Maharashtra Mandal, Dubai Mrs. sanjivani Patil told Prasar Bharti that during the three day meet number of literary events including , Kavi sammelan, discussions on literature and Sant literature , drama were organised. She added that the sammelan will help connect youth to their rich cultural heritage. Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Chhagan Bhujbal, Transport Minister of Maharashtra Radha Krishna Vikhe Patil , Mumbai Mayor Shraddha Jadhav and Chief of Mahrashtra Kala Parihsad and MNS spokesperson Shirish Parkar are also attending the three day meet. The 1st World Marathi Literature Forum was organized in California, during 14 to 16 February, 2009.
