Visakhapatnam – Chennai coastal corridor would change the face of Visakhapatnam: Venkaiah Naidu

Union Minister for Urban Development and Information Broadcasting M. Venkaiah Naidu said Visakhapatnam – Chennai coastal corridor would change the face of Visakhapatnam as it would not only provide more job opportunities, but also boosts Indian economy. Speaking after inaugurating the India International Trade Fair – 2016 in Visakhapatnam Friday, he said being the city of destiny, Visakhapatnam enjoyed several advantages, as it was the centre for agro, mineral and marine product based industries. He said the Asian Development Bank, ADB, also approved the corridor. Mr. Venkaiah Naidu said that the international trade fair would help to know the value of the products, rates, services available all over the world and promotes trade and commerce among nations.Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman speaking on the occasion said beach city Vizag was the nerve centre of the eastern India, having potential for development of trade and commerce with the neighbouring nations across the seas.The trade fair is jointly organised by Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
