In Cricket, Virat Kohli today became the first batsman to score six double centuries as a Test captain. He surpassed veteran West Indian Brian Lara and equalled Sachin Tendulkar and Virendra Sehwag's record of most number of double tons by an Indian in the longest format of the game. Kohli achieved the feat as India tightened its grip in the third and final Test against Sri Lanka at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi. At lunch on the second day today, India were 500 for 5. Kohli on 225 was at the crease, while his fellow overnight batsman Rohit Sharma was out for 65. India had resumed play this morning at 371 for 4. They had opted to bat yesterday.Team India is leading the 3-match series, 1-0. This is India's last Test at home for quite some time. Next year, starting with three Tests against South Africa, the world number one Test team will be involved in two more away series — five matches against England and four against Australia.
