Virat Kohli becomes fastest batsman to score 5000 runs in ODIs

India cruised to an easy six wicket win against the West Indies in the opening Cricket match of three ODI match series at Kochi last night. Indian bowlers restricted the visitors to 211. Ravindra Jadeja and Suresh Raina claimed three wickets each. Man of the match Virat Kohli produced 86 runs while Rohit Sharma scored 72. Yuvraj Singh on 16 and skipper Mohinder Singh Dhoni on 13 remained unbeaten to clinch the game in favour of India with 88 balls remaining. Kohli yesterday became the fastest batsman to score five thousand runs in one day internationals, a feat which he achieved in just 120 matches. The second one-dayer will be played at Visakhapatnam on November 24.
