<span style="color: #222222;">The West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has urged people to maintain peace and warned that strict action will be taken against those indulging in violence. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Ms. Banerjee urged the citizens of the state not to take up law in their own hands and also requested not to put up a blockade on roads and rail tracks which creates trouble for the common people. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">She also warned strong action for damaging government properties besides re-iterating that Amended Citizenship Act and the proposed countrywide NRC will not take effect in the state.<br />'' <br />'' Our Kolkata correspondent reports that agitations are continuing at different parts of the state protesting amended Citizenship act. Agitators set up road and rail track blockade in different areas and ransacked the Station Manager's room at Sankrail in Howrah District. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">A number of buses were also set on fire while arsoning at few trains were also reported from Murshidabad district. Due to blockade on rail tracks by the agitators, a number of trains were cancelled or rescheduled. All Police Stations in the state have been put on high in view of the continuing protests.</span>
