<span style="color: #222222;">The violent incidents of Left Wing Extremism have reduced by 77 percent between the period of 2009 to 2021. This was stated by the Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today. He said, a total of two thousand 258 incidents of LWE violence have been reported in the country in 2009 which has reduced to 509 in 2021. He said, the resultant deaths of civilians and security forces have reduced by 85 percent from an all-time high of one thousand five in 2010 to 17 in 2021.<br />''<br />''The Minister added that the geographical spread of the violence has significantly reduced over the years. The Minister further said, the number of districts contributing approximately 90 percent of LWE violence, categorized as most LWE affected districts, came down to 30 from 35 in 2018 and further to 25 in 2021.</span><br />
