<span style="color: #222222;">In Karnataka, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. C. N. Ashwatha Narayana has said that villages in the state must get tele-medicine facility so that they get sound medical advice from a Specialist doctor.<br />'' <br />'' Speaking to media persons in Mysuru today, he said that talks are on with a health care company to create tele-medicine infrastructure in villages.<br />'' <br />'' The Department of Information Technology will collaborate in this matter.<br />'' <br />'' The Minister said that the company will tie up with State Government arm of KEONICS to set up tele-command centre for this purpose.<br />'' <br />'' Saying that the facility will function effectively during the COVID-19 pandemic, he also noted that during natural calamities too this will be of utmost help.<br />'' <br />'' The Minister pointed out that masks, sanitizers, ventilators, testing kits, PPE kits essential for treating the COVID patients are today manufacturing within the country as per the call for Atmanirbhar given by the Prime Minister.<br />'' <br />'' He informed that the State Government had placed an order for one lakh ventilators and out of which 35,000 ventilators have already been supplied well before the timeline.<br />'' <br />'' AIR correspondent reports, the Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Dr. K. Sudhakar held a video conference with officials in districts hit by flood.<br />'' <br />'' He asked them to prevent outbreak of communicable diseases in their districts.<br />'' <br />'' He instructed them to provide clean and safe drinking water and quality food to the people in care centers.<br />'' <br />'' Kalburgi is worst affected with more than 150 villages inundated.<br />'' <br />'' A total of 23,250 people are evacuated to relief camps in the district.<br />'' <br />'' In Vijayapura, 27 villages are affected due to flooding.<br />'' <br />'' A person has died here and 1861 people were evacuated to safety and sheltered in care centre.<br />'' <br />'' The Minister has asked the officials to conduct COVID tests of people with COVID-19 symptoms.<br />'' <br />'' Deputy Chief Minister and Raichur district in-Charge Minister Lakshman Savadi visited flood-affected areas in Raichur today.<br />'' <br />'' He also visited Garjapur barrage and met people affected by flooding. He assured them of early dispensation of compensation for the losses incurred by them.<br />'' <br />'' </span><br />
