Under the centrally sponsored scheme of Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Viditiyakaran Youjna (RGGVY), 249 hamlets and 105 villages of border district of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir State would be electrified this year. Out of the total project plan of 26 crore rupees, 23 crore rupees have so far been utilized to electrify uncovered villages in Poonch district. District Development Commissioner, Poonch, A.K.Sahu said the work in 103 Villages has been completed. He said that all the remaining targeted villages and hamlets will be fully electrified under the Scheme in next two to three months.
