In Jharkhand, a large number of villagers blocked Daltonganj-Tata State highway at Latehar today to protest against the brutal killing of two villagers by naxals after keeping them hostage for eight days. The blockade was lifted after police assured the villagers that a search operation will be launched to nab the culprits. Meanwhile, CRPF DIG Rajeev Ranjan undertook an aerial survey of the naxal stronghold of Jhumra Pahari in Bokaro district. He told reporters that Jhumra Pahari is a tough terrain, and the security forces will take all factors into account before any further operation against the naxals.
