Union Minister of Science and Technology, Vilasrao Deshmukh today filed his nomination papers for the biennial Rajya Sabha elections scheduled to be held on March 30th this year. While filing his nomination papers Vilasrao Deshmukh was accompanied by Chief Minister of Maharashtra Prithviraj Chavan, State Unit Congress President Manikrao Thakre and other ministers from the party. Deshmukh is among six members of Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra whose membership ends on 02nd April this year. Speaking to media persons in Mumbai today, he said that he is fully confident that the Congress and NCP will win the Rajya Sabha elections this year.
