President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych will arrive in New Delhi on Sunday on a three day state visit to India. The Ukrainian President, who is accompanied by a large official and business delegation, will be given a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday morning. The visiting leader will meet President Mr. Pranab Mukherjee beside holding delegation level talks with Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Monday. Mr. Viktor Yanukovych will also meet Opposition Leader Mrs. Sushma Swaraj, besides captains of trade and industry.
The visit marks the 20th anniversary celebrations of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Cooperation between India and Ukraine covers a wide range of areas including defence, science & technology, nuclear, space, economics and trade. The Indo-Ukrainian bilateral trade increased from 138.62 million dollars in 1992 to 2,865.45 million dollars in the last fiscal. As per schedule, the Ukrainian President will visit Agra and Bangalore.
