Many were interested in opting for the technology as it would reach more agricultural land with very little investment. Farmers and women self help groups have enrolled themselves in the scheme introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently. The farmers expressed gratitude to the Government for the use of state of the art technology like using the drone in agriculture. Rajendran, Madurai, a small-time farmer from Madurai, said that the use of drone technology for spraying fertiliser will be very useful to us. We are grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as using a drone would spare us from shoulder pain and skin irritation. I am a small-time farmer.  Another farmer from Madurai.  We used to carry the spray tanks on our shoulders to spray fertilisers in the fields. It was very heavy and caused shoulder pain and skin irritation. We have also used battery operated sprayers but still the problem was the same. We are happy and thankful that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has introduced drone technology for spraying fertilisers. </span><br />
