Star Indian pugilist Vijender Singh recorded his 5th consecutive victory in Professional Boxing last night. He defeated Frenchman Matiouze Royer at London's Copper Box Arena via knock-out. Royer was Vijender's most experienced rival till date, with 44 bouts, including 14 wins, under his belt before the match. However, India's Olympics bronze medalist's power-packed punches went unchallenged and he brought Royer to his knees with an onslaught of body blows.Vijender, whose last four wins were all knock-outs or technical knock-outs, was declared the winner in the fifth round of the six-round super middleweight contest.
