<span style="color: #222222;">The Vijayawada Division has  operated 31 Shramik Specials carrying more than 42,992  stranded guest workers to their destination states  from Rayanapadu, Kovvur, Rajahmundry, Ongole, Narasapur and Gudur Stations during Covid  time, said P. Srinivas, Divisional Railway manager, Andhra Pradesh today. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">While talking to the media persons via virtual press conference, the DRM said that, fool-proof and flawless arrangements have  made by RPF at the time of dispatch of Shramik Special trains in coordination with GRP, Local Police and Civil authorities and ensured no untoward incident.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">DRM, Srinivas has also stated that, Vijayawada Railway Division successfully made catering arrangements for over 10.90 Lakh guest workers on their journey back to home on 753 Shramik Specials passing through the Division till 14th June, 2020.  Currently  7 pairs of Special trains are running through the Division with stoppages at Vijayawada, Nellore, Ongole,  Eluru, Rajahmundry and Anakapalle over Vijayawada Division and 30 exclusive PRS counters along with unified counters have been opened to facilitate booking and refunds across the Division, he added.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Srinivas has also said that , 38,461 passengers have boarded Special trains from the Division from 14th May till 31st July, 2020.The passenger earnings for the period is Rs.20.21 Crore.  In spite of Covid-19 crisis, Division loaded 2001 rakes till 31st July, 2020 with an earning of Rs. 684.70 Crore.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">DRM,  Srinivas also said that  from 2nd April, 2020 more than 5626 Tonnes of essential commodities were loaded through Time tabled Special Parcel trains & special trains through which Rs. 1.67 Crore earnings was achieved during the lockdown period.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Vijayawada Division successfully converted 50 sleeper coaches into Isolation Coaches. Quarantine Centres with beds are set up at Railway Institutes at Satyanarayanapuram, Rayanapadu, Bittragunta, Rajahmundry and Eluru, DRM Srinivas said.</span><br />''
