Sports Minister Vijay Goel has invited players with a minimum age of 8 years to upload their video or bio- data on the Sports Ministry Talent Search Portal. He said one thousand young players will be adopted and given scholarships by the Sports Authority of India. Speaking at an event to launch a big size football in New Delhi today, Mr Goel said he has been checking out the facilities at different venues of FIFA Under-17 World Cup. Chief Minister of Manipur Biren Singh, Boxer Vijendra Singh and former cricketer Mohammed Kaif were also present on the occasion. The objective of the event is to popularise football in the country, in view of the upcomeing Under-17 World Cup in India from 6th to 28th October.
