Former State President of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP's) Scheduled Caste Wing Vijay Anand today joined the BJP Scheduled Caste Wing along with six others in Jammu. <br />''<br />''Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, BJP's Scheduled Caste Wing State President Jagdish Bhagat said that the BJP has relieved the Valmiki Samaj of the sufferings which they had to bear during the last 70 years due to Article 370. <br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, the State Unit of Bhartiya Janata Party has disqualified eight party leaders from the active membership of the party for indulging in anti-party activities. The functionaries who have been disqualified include BJP SC Morcha District President, Jammu Rural Manohar Lal and BJP Vice-President, Raipur Mandal Madan Lal. These leaders had filed their nominations as independent candidates against official party candidates for the election of Block Development Councils (BDCs). <br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile, in a related development, the State Unit of BJYM also discharged Aqib Mir from post of State Secretary due to breach of party discipline. <br />''  <br />
