In Karnataka, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Home R Ashoka has said that intense patrolling and vigil will continue till the people from North East are assured of their safety. Speaking to media persons in Bangalore today, he said patrolling by Central Forces from Rapid Action Force and CRPF along with state police will continue in Bangalore. Majority of people of north East are working as nurses, security guards and employees in the hospitality industries and many are pursuing higher education. The Minister said they should return to their jobs and colleges and if need be he will visit North East to appeal to them to return. Expressing happiness over incident free days since the tension began, Mr.Ashoka said Bangalore has kept up its reputation of being a peace loving city. Ms.Gyari Dolma, Chief of Home Affairs in Central Tibetan Administration from Dharmashala paid a visit to Bangalore today and met the Home Minister.
