<span style="color: #222222;">Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu has said that Telugu is an ancient language and there is a need for recapturing the past glory of it. Addressing the Valedictory Session of Workshop on Development of Centre of Excellence for Studies in Classical Telugu in Shri Potti Shriramulu Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh yesterday, the Vice President urged the Telugu scholars to prepare a road map for development of classical Telugu language and for the development of Centre of Excellence for Studies in Classical Telugu (CESCT) in Nellore.<br />''            </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Naidu also said that every language represents the history, culture and civilizational values. While urging upon all stake holders for protection and promotion of every Indian language, he said that it is the duty of the government to promote all languages.<br />''            </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Emphasizing the need to make Classical Telugu understandable to common man, the Vice President asked CESCT to make use of latest technologies to popularize Telugu. The Workshop was organized by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development on the suggestion of Venkaiah Naidu, to decide and discuss the future course of action for the preservation and promotion of classical Telugu and also for development of the CESCT.  About 120 nationally and internationally acclaimed Telugu scholars of eminence participated in the Workshop.<br />''      </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal 'Nishank' assured that the Ministry would act upon the recommendations made during the Workshop. Earlier, the Vice President, visited the Centre of Excellence for Studies in Classical Telugu along with the Governor Bishwa Bhusan Harichandan and the Union Minister for HRD Ramesh Pokhariyal.</span><br />
