Vice President Mr M Hamid Ansari arrived in Kochi this evening, on a two day visit to Kerala. He was received at the Naval Airport at Kochi by the Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Prof K V Thomas, State Panchayat and Social Welfare Minister Dr M K Muneer among others.Tomorrow, the Vice President will dedicate the Social Advancement Foundation of India at Malappuram and later inaugurate “Snehasangamam” at Kozhikode.In the evening, he will inaugurate the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Mar Athanasius Engineering College at Kothamangalam in Ernakulam district.On Saturday, Mr Ansari will inaugurate the birth anniversary celebrations of Justice V R Krishna Iyer to be held at the Kerala High Court Auditorium, before returning to New Delhi.
