Vice Prez Hamid Ansari to visit Cambodia, Lao PDR

Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari has left for four-day visit to the South East Asian countries of Cambodia and Lao people's democratic republic, Lao PDR.<br/><br/>The Vice-President will reach Cambodian Capital Phnom Penh at one thirty pm.<br/><br/>Mr. Ansari will hold talks with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on Wednesday.<br/><br/>He will also meet the President of Cambodian National Assembly Heng Samarin, and President of Cambodian National Senate Say Chhum the same day.<br/><br/>Apart from Cambodian capital Phnom Penh, Vice-President will also travel to Siem Reap where the world famous temples of Angkor Wat are located. Vice-President's visit to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap will provide an opportunity to reaffirm and strengthen bilateral relations including commercial and investment ties.<br/><br/>It will also strengthen our pursuit of a closer and enduring partnership with the countries of ASEAN region as part of our Act East policy.<br/><br/>On the second leg of his visit, the Vice-President will reach Lao PDR on 17th this month.<br/><br/>This is the first ever visit at the level of Vice-President to Lao PDR.<br/><br/>He will be accompanied by Minister of State for Water Resources, Sanwar Lal Jat, four Members of Parliament and senior officials.

Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari will leave today on a four-day visit to the South East Asian countries of Cambodia and Lao PDR. The Vice President will reach Cambodian Capital Phnom Penh Tuesday afternoon.<br/><br/>Mr. Ansari will hold talks with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen Wednesday.
