Addressing a gathering on the ocassion, the Vice President said, India is a country with a history of thousands of years and a country that has made great contribution to the humanity.&nbsp;</div>''<div><br />''</div>''<div>He also said that one dimension of life that is very relevant in today's world is the way people have learnt to live in peace and harmony with all its diversity. He lauded the people of the city of Antigua and said that they have contributed greatly to this city and quite appropriately UNESCO in 1979 designated Antigua as world Heritage Site.
