Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has called for peace in Nagaland for all round development. He said, peace is an essential prerequisite for progress and prosperity.<br />''<br />''Speaking at the virtual inauguration of buildings of Directorate  of Information  Technology, Government High Schools and Minister's Residential Complex today at Police Complex Chumukedima in Dimapur, Vice President Naidu said peace should be the prime component for development for which all should work together.<br />''<br />''Mr. Naidu said the way forward is dialogue, discussions and decisions and he therefore asked them to help in the peace process by putting first the interest of the people.<br />''<br />''The Vice President also complimented the Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and his legislators for taking the initiative in bringing the people who have taken to arms to come back to the discussion table. In this, Mr. Naidu expressed happiness that discussions on Indo-Naga peace talks have resumed again at New Delhi and expressed hope that they will come to a conclusion at the earliest.<br />''Emphasising on the need to eliminate gender bias, Mr. Naidu said women form an integral part of the society and that they should get adequate representation and proper recognition. .<br />''<br />''The Vice President said the Union government led by PM Modi is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the many sided development of Nagaland.<br />''<br />''Stating that Nagaland is known for its diverse richness in handicrafts, agro produce and it's hard working people, the Vice President said there is still a huge potential to be tapped in different sector for giving a fillip to an all round development of the state.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Later, the Vice President interacted with the HSSLC 2021 Toppers and the National Teacher Awardees from the state.  Mr. Naidu  also interacted with Governor's award winners from the state in the fields of literature, culture and performing arts.</span><br />
