Vice President says efforts are on to promote regional languages

<span style="color: #222222;">Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu said that efforts are on to promote regional languages. Mother tongue is like an eye sight and other languages are like spectacles, he added. He was addressing writers, poets, artistes and media persons at Raj Bhavan on Friday evening.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Inner feelings can be best expressed and communicated through mother tongue, Mr Naidu added. He exhorted the writers and media persons that nature and culture should be preserved for better future of mankind. COVID pandemic is a great challenge to humanity and we must not take for granted that the pandemic is over and must take all precautions of social distancing and other norms, Vice President Naidu added. Governor P S Shreedharan Pillai, Minister of State for Tourism Shripad Naik and Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant were present on the occasion.</span>
