Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari returned home this afternoon after concluding his two-nation visit to West Africa. Talking to media onboard the special flight, Mr Ansari said, the visit to Nigeria and Mali was the follow up to the ideas that were discussed during the 3rd India-Africa Forum summit held in October last year in Delhi.<br/><br/>The Vice President said, during the visit, India raised, with the leaders of both the countries, various multilateral issues. These, he said, include terrorism and reforms in the United Nations.<br/><br/>On India's recent surgical strikes in PoK, the Vice President said, one cannot be the recipient of terror attacks all the time and do nothing about it.<br/><br/>On his visit to Nigeria, the Vice President said, the talks with the leadership were productive and new areas that were identified include renewable energy, infrastructure development, agriculture and science and technology.<br/><br/>On his Mali visit, Mr Ansari said, It became evident that the country has shortages in virtually every area of developmental activity. He said, their core demand was human resource development and capacity building and India will concentrate on that.
