Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari has reached Cambodian Capital Phnom Penh this afternoon. He is on a four-day visit to the South East Asian countries of Cambodia and Lao people's democratic republic, Lao PDR. Mr. Ansari will hold talks with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen tomorrow. He will also meet the President of Cambodian National Assembly Heng Samarin, and President of Cambodian National Senate Say Chhum the same day. <br/><br/>Apart from Cambodian capital Phnom Penh, Vice-President will also travel to Siem Reap where the world famous temples of Angkor Wat are located. Vice-President's visit to Phnom Penh and Siem Reap will provide an opportunity to reaffirm and strengthen bilateral relations including commercial and investment ties. It will also strengthen our pursuit of a closer and enduring partnership with the countries of ASEAN region as part of our Act East policy. <br/><br/> On the second leg of his visit, the Vice-President will reach Lao PDR on 17th this month. This is the first ever visit at the level of Vice-President to Lao PDR. He will be accompanied by Minister of State for Water Resources, Sanwar Lal Jat, four Members of Parliament and senior officials.
