Vice President Dr. Hamid Ansari today lauded the contributions of the Santhigiri Ashram in health care and education sectors, particularly in the development of the traditional Ayurveda practices. Dr. Ansari was inaugurating the Navathi celebrations of, the founder of Santhigiri Ashram, Navajyothi Karunakara Guru in Thiruvananthapuram today. <br/><br/>Justice P. Sathasivam presided. Rajya Sabha Vice-Chairman P.J. Kurien and other dignataries were present.<br/><br/>In the evening, the Vice President will open the digital library of the P.N. Panicker Foundation in the State Capital. The digital library is launched as part of the Foundation's drive for complete e-literacy.<br/><br/>Dr. Ansari who reached the State on a three-day visit will also launch the Vidhyadhanam Scheme of the St. Teresas Collge in Ernakulam tomorrow before returning to New Delhi.
