<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has said, India is a global example where technology has been used for making efficient services available to the people. He said, technology enables accessibility and reduces out of pocket expenditure of citizens. Mr. Dhankhar was addressing the second International Symposium on Health Technology Assessment 2023 in New Delhi today. Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and NITI Aayog member (Health) Dr. V K Paul were also present during the event.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">In his address, Dr. Mandaviya said, India is playing a crucial role in healing the world by providing quality and affordable medicines. He said, India has always been responsible to the global community and any research and innovation happening in the country is readily available for the world. The Minister said, this is an apt example of government's dedication towards one world one family approach in the Amrit Kaal. He said, it is government's responsibility and duty to not only provide affordable and quality healthcare to the country, but to serve and support global healthcare goals under the philosophy of Vasudhaiva kutumbakam.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">Our Correspondent reports that the international symposium was organised by the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in collaboration with World Health Organisation (WHO) and Centre for Global Development. The theme of the symposium was "Affordability, Availability and Accessibility of Healthcare Technologies through Evidence generated by Health Technologies Assessments(HTA), for Universal Health Coverage". It has provided a platform for all stakeholders to share their views on importance of HTA, international perspective on health technology use and host the first-ever&nbsp;HTA marketplace in the country. The symposium was attended by about 250 participants.</span></p>
