Vice President Hamid Ansari has called upon the young scientists of the country to understand the eco-system of the planet earth in the wake of climate change. He was inaugurating the 17th National Children’s Science Congress 2009 at Gujarat Science City-in Ahmedabad. Mr. Ansari said that the Centre is providing innovation scholarships to one million school students to promote science among them. On the occasion ,the founder of the National Children’s Science Congress Professor Yashpal called for informal way of teaching science to young students. Governor of Gujarat, Dr Kamala and Chief Minister Narendra Modi also spoke on this occasion. Our Ahmedabad Correspondent reports that the theme of the National Children Science Congress is- ‘Planet Earth-our home, Explore- care and share’. About 800 child-scientists in the age group of 10 to 17 across the country are participating in this annual event.<br/>
