Vice President Hamid Ansari leaves for Armenia, Poland today

Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari says, India has a case at Nuclear Suppliers Group, NSG, that is why the previous rules are being re-worked.<br/><br/> In his on-board press briefing for his two nation visit to Armenia and Poland, the Vice President said, Poland has been India's supporter in NSG even in the old format and now that the rules are being reworked it will continue to do so. <br/><br/>With trade relations worth 3 billion dollars, India looks forward to strengthen the bilateral trade and engagements with Poland. He said, India will sign one MoU in the field of Agriculture with Poland. The Vice President also said, coal mining technology is another focus area of his trip to Warsaw. <br/><br/>Stating that India has age old cultural ties with Armenia the Vice President said, this visit will enhance the friendliness between the two nations and establish high level talks. He said, India has helped Armenia in capacity building. Armenia has been a vocal supporter on international fora on crucial issues including Kashmir. Armenia is the important member of Eurasian Economic Union. India is celebrating its 25 year of diplomatic relationship with Armenia.

Vice President Hamid Ansari leaves for Armenia, Poland today

Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari today left on a five-day visit to Armenia and Poland today. <br/><br/>During the visit, Mr. Ansari will hold talks with top leaders of the two countries on a wide range of issues. The visit of the vice president intends to further strengthen the cordial relation between the two countries, develop cooperation and partnership on shared common interest.<br/><br/>Accompanied by a high level delegation, the Vice President will reach the Armenian capital Yerevan this evening. <br/><br/>Mr. Ansari will hold talks with Armenian President Serzh Darshan, the Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan and their Foreign Minister during his stay. He is also scheduled to deliver a lecture at Armenia State University. India is celebrating 25 years of diplomatic relationship with Armenia this year.<br/><br/>On the second leg of his journey, Mr Ansari will be visiting Warsaw, Poland. There he will hold discussions with the Polish President, the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the Senate. <br/><br/>His visit to Poland aims at further deepening the economic co-operation. India looks at Poland as potential trade partner as the bilateral trade between both the nations has increased by 25 percent within a period of one year.
