Vice President discharged from AIIMS after undergoing angioplasty

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, who underwent angioplasty at AIIMS New Delhi, was discharged today. <br/><br/>Yesterday, Mr. Naidu had undergone an angiography test which showed a significant blockage in one of the main arteries and to treat the condition a stent was placed. AIIMS authorities said that all his parameters are normal. <br/><br/>The Vice President had visited the AIIMS for a routine check-up and some tests had pointed to problems related to the heart following which the procedure was performed.He has been advised complete rest for three days.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to him over the phone and enquired about his well being.
