<span style="color: #222222;">In Haryana, Vice President &nbsp;Jagdeep Dhankhar today conferred the PhD degrees upon 1216 scholars at the 18th convocation ceremony held at Maharshi Dayanand University, during a convocation ceremony held at Rohtak. On this occasion, Supreme Court Judge, Mr. Justice Surya Kant was honoured with an honorary doctorate.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The ceremony was graced by the presence of the wife of Vice President, Dr. Sudesh Dhankhar, Haryana Governor and Chancellor of Maharishi Dayanand University &nbsp;Bandaru Dattatraya, Supreme Court Judge, Mr Justice Surya Kant, and Higher Education Minister, Mool Chand Sharma.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;<br />''In his address, the&nbsp;Vice President&nbsp;encouraged the scholars to work with dedication in their lives, serving the elderly and showing respect for the country.&nbsp; He said it is a matter of pride that in this convocation ceremony, 1216 scholars were awarded PhD degrees, and among them, 740 are women, showcasing the progress of women in every field in India and Haryana. He also inspired the students to work towards success in life, serve the elderly, and maintain respect for the country.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Dhankhar praised the scholars, stating that they are fortunate individuals who have received education during this Amrit Kaal. He urged them to utilise their unique circumstances, harness their boundless energy, and move forward by applying their talents and potential. He acknowledged that the current era is a period of glory for India and highlighted the values of honesty, accountability, transparency, and integrity as crucial elements in governance.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Vice President highlighted that there was a time when India lagged in technology and depended on other nations, but now India is among the top 10 countries globally in technological innovation. He discussed the Quantum Technology mission and the Green Hydrogen mission, emphasising the enormous employment opportunities in these areas and encouraging the graduating students to consider these fields.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Vice President reminded the scholars that Indian culture and heritage set India apart from other nations, and students should illuminate their family, State, and country's name while always respecting their elders, parents and teachers.</span><br />
