Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari returned to New Delhi this morning after his two-nation tour. Before concluding his six-day tour, he visited the famous tourist destination of Dubrovnik in Croatia on Friday. He met the Mayor of Dubrovnik city Andro Vlahisic and County Prefect Mr. Nikola Dobroslavic and then proceeded for the guided tour of Rector’s Palace, Sponza Palace and San Frenchesco Monastery and Old Pharmacy.<br/><br/>Earlier, India and Croatia decided to enhance people to people contact apart from widening and strengthening of bilateral relations. This was decided in a meeting between the Vice President Mr. Mohammad Hamid Ansari and the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament Mr. Luka Bebic in Zagreb . He also met the Prime Minister Ms. Jandraka Kosor and discussed the important issues relating to the bilateral relations. The Vice President visited the important monuments in the Croatian capital Zagreb.<br/><br/>During the three-day visit to Croatia, two agreements were signed. The first agreement covers cooperation in several areas including mother and child health, family planning, public health and nursing, medical treatment and pharmaceutical and hospital management. The cultural exchange programme envisages holding of the exhibitions of arts, films and performing arts as well as Indological studies.<br/><br/>During the first leg of his visit to the Czech Republic , three agreements were signed. They covered economic co-operation, social security and a protocol on amending the bilateral investment promotion and protection agreement with the Czech Republic .
