Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu today asked insurers and their regulators to pay special attention to agriculture and health insurance and provide insurance protection to all sections in rural areas of the country. He was addressing the valedictory session of the International Insurance Conference which concluded in Hyderabad this evening. <br/><br/>Highlighting the need for bringing all sections into the insurance framework, Mr Naidu advocated for inclusiveness so that vulnerable sections and the downtrodden will be benefited due to insurance cover. <br/><br/>He asked insurers and their regulators to adopt fair, transparent and accountable practices and curb unfair practices. Stating that economic disparities serve no good for the country, Mr Naidu asked insurers to keep crop insurance and calamities like cyclones and untimely rains on top of their agenda.
