Vice President Hamid Ansari has left for Poland for the second and final leg of his two-nation visit after concluding his three-day trip to Armenia. During his stay at Yerevan, Mr Ansari held talks with the top leadership of Armenia and oversaw signing of three agreements in the field of cultural co-operation, youth affairs and peaceful use of space. <br/><br/>The Vice President's visit in the silver jubilee year of diplomatic relations with Armenia has given a new vigour to the bilateral relations and has also opened new channels for high level talks between the two nations. Both countries condemned terrorism and said, the world has to be in one voice on the issue of terrorism. <br/><br/>Briefing media in Yerevan yesterday, Secretary East Preeti Saran said, India and Armenia have agreed to support each other for United Nations Security Council Non-permanent member on reciprocal basis. She said, Armenia is supporting India's Non-permanent membership in year 2021-22 and India will support Armenia for their membership in year 2032-33. She said, Armenian Foreign Minister told Mr Ansari during a meeting that Armenia supports India's candidature at 10 international forums. <br/> '<br/>The Vice President also delivered a lecture at the Yerevan State University, where he said, countries that have invested in education, built strong consumer economies, and have democratic institutions and deal with social change will benefit more from new technologies. Mr. Ansari also met, His Holiness Karekin II, the supreme patriarch and Catholics of all Armenian, before flying to Warsaw.
