The Vice President Mohd. Hamid Ansari today strongly advocated to increase the number of NCC Cadets and make them more efficient. Inaugurating the National Cadet Corps Republic Day Camp in New Delhi Mr. Ansari said that physical fitness, team work, discipline and social services are the main characteristics for the Cadets and if such characteristics spread in our society, it will lead to remarkable progress. Mr. Ansari also lauded the contribution of the NCC in times of crisis particularly in the aftermath of natural disasters like earthquakes, cyclines and floods. Our correspondent reports that this year around 2000 Cadets both boys and girls from across the country are participating in the camp.
