Vice President  M. Venkaiah Naidu today advised Delhi University to take prompt action on finalizing the examination calendar and filling up vacant positions. Mr.Naidu also suggested the university to review the decision relating to quota for extra-curricular activities.<br />''<br />'' He asked the DU authorities to continue the present quota procedure by earmarking seats for the talented artists. The Vice President made these suggestion after receiving numerous requests on this issue from Members of Parliament and prominent artists.<br />''<br />''Mr. Naidu, who is also the Chancellor of the University of Delhi, made these remarks in a meeting with the Pro-Vice Chancellor and Dean Colleges of  Delhi University who called on him.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />''The Vice President was also briefed about various issues including the issue of Extra Curricular Activities quota for admission to first year college. Secretary, Ministry of Human Resource Development had already briefed the Vice President on this issue. Mr Naidu was also briefed on Open Book Examination System. </span><br />
