Veteran Hindustani classical singer of Gwalior Gharana, 107 year-old musician Ustad Abdul Rashid Khan passed away in Kolkata today. West Bengal chief minister, Mamata Banerjee has mourned Ustad Khan's demise and expressed grief to his family members.<br/><br/>Born in Uttar Pradesh in 1908, Ustad Khan was the oldest recipient of Padma Bhushan, conferred in 2013. He was given the life time achievement award by the Government of NCT of Delhi the same year. <br/><br/>A highly acclaimed classical singer Ustad Ji, was felicitated with a large number of awards including the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and Kashi Swar Ganga Award. He was a resident Guru at ITC Sangeet Research Academy in Kolkata.
