CPI Kerala state secretary and veteran Communist leader, Kanam Rajendran passed away in Kochi on Friday. The 73-year-old party chieftain died from cardiac arrest and was under treatment in a private hospital.<br />''  <br />'' Earlier, Kanam had applied for three months' leave from the responsibilities of the party citing ill health. The leader was in the position of CPI State Secretary since 2015 and was MLA from Vazhoor constituency from 1982 till 1993.
