<br/>In Punjab, a veteran Akali leader and former Education Minister Sukhjinder Singh Khaira died in Jalandhar in the early hours of this morning. He was 80. His funeral will take place at his native village Ramgarh falling in Bholath Assembly constituency in the afternoon.<br/><br/>Sukhjinder Singh joined politics in 1971 and remained MLA for three times from Bholath assembly seat and became Education Minister for two terms. He went to jails several times and had spent more than ten years in different jails during akali agitations.<br/>
