<span style="color: #222222;">Veteran film actress and former Lok Sabha MP from Rajahmundry, Jamuna passed away this morning in Hyderabad. She was 86. She has been suffering from health issues for the past few days and breathed her last this morning around 7 AM. She was a contemporary to eminent and popular actors N T Ramarao and Nageswar Rao and acted in about 200 films in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. Born in 1936 in Hampi in Karnataka, her schooling continued in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. Started her career as a stage artist, debuting with Puttillu on Silver Screen.<br />”<br />”She won the Lok Sabha from Rajahmundry in 1989 from the Congress. She was identified with her role in ‘Satyabhama’ and became a household name for the mythological character.<br />”<br />”Union Culture minister G Kishan Reddy and several ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh condoled her demise. Condolences poured in from various walks of life over to her family members.</span><br />
