In Kerala, a vessel carrying four state-of-the-art quay gantry cranes berthed at the Vallarpadam International Container Transhipment Terminal in Kochi this evening.<br/><br/>Each crane is capable of lifting two twenty foot containers at a time. The cranes, manufactured by the Shangahi based ZPMC, will be off loaded over the next four days.<br/><br/>Although the vessel carrying the cranes had arrived in Kochi on the 24th of last month, it could not enter the harbour as the dredging of the basin close to the new transhipment terminal was not complete.<br/>
