Venue of agitation demanding recall of Puducherry LG Kiran Bedi shifts from Raj Nivas to Maraimalai Adigal Salai

<span style="color: #222222;">With the police denying permission for the indefinite dharna by the ruling Congress and its allies, demanding the recall of Puducherry Lt. Governor Kiran Bedi, the venue of the agitation has been shifted from in front of the Raj Nivas to the Maraimalai Adigal Salai. Further, the indefinite dharna has been brought down to a four day agitation. Following the proposed agitation tomorrow the District Collector – cum – District Magistrate Mrs. Purva Garg, clamped prohibitory order under 144CrPC in the Union Territory of Puducherry.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> <b> </b></span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, in the order, it is informed that Protest would not be allowed within 500 meters of Raj Nivas, Legislative Assembly, Chief Minister's office , residence, Chief Secretariat, Designated COVID Hospitals and some other important places. Any violation would be punishable under the provisions of the Disaster Management Act 2005 and Epidemic Act 1897 and other relevant provisions. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">It is further said that no protests, agitations or rallies should be conducted without the prior permission of the District Magistrate. As a precautionary measure 3 companies of Central Industrial Security Forces have reached Puducherry and they are deployed. The Bharathi Park opposite to Raj Nivas and Legislative Assembly closed from today till further orders.</span><br />''
