Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu lashed out at Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi for questioning demonetization and alleged that the opposition party is in panic on the people' support to the Prime Minister.

Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Mr. Naidu accused the Congress and other opposition parties of attempting to create confusion over the issue. He asked the Congress to tell the people what steps it took against black money during its rule and why did not set up SIT on the issue despite Supreme Court order.

Putting five questions to Congress Vice President, the Minister said whether Mr. Gandhi believes that there is no black money in the system. He alleged that Congress had provided huge loans to corporate houses in its rule leading to NPAs in banks. He said all the money which has reached the banking system post demonetization, is not white money. Mr. Naidu said the Centre has already made it clear that every high value deposit will be scrutinized for the legitimacy of such deposits.
