Venkaiah Naidu today calls upon state governments and people to work unitedly for comprehensive development,spreading national spirit

Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu today stressed the need for spreading national spirit among the citizens and called upon state governments and people to work unitedly for comprehensive development of the country. He was speaking at a Tiranga Yatra held in Hyderabad this morning. He said solutions must be worked out to resolve problems reflected in stray incidents in the country like atrocities against weaker sections and women and to improve living standards of people. Stating that the country witnessed development in various fronts during post- independence, he said Indians have still lot of potentiality to compete with the world. <br/><br/>Mr Naidu said the central Government is marching ahead on development path by adapting co-operative federalism. Denouncing separatism in all forms, the Minister said some groups inspired by foreign elements are disturbing academic atmosphere in universities by appreciating anti-nationals like Afjal Guru. He also emphasized the need for introducing biographies of freedom fighters in the school curriculum to impart nationalism among the young generations. Beside Union Labour Minister Dattatreya and several freedom fighters, a large number of people, school children, army personnel, public representatives and retired bureaucrats took part in the 5.2 kilo meter long Tiranag Yatra.
