Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today cautioned the students aspiring to become journalists against mixing of news and views.<br/><br/>Mr Naidu said every budding young journalist should have an open mind to acquire maximum knowledge to present the perspective in an objective manner. The Minister was addressing the gathering after launching the IIMC Journal -Communicator in New Delhi.<br/><br/>The Minister also launched Diploma Course in Development Journalism and PG Diploma in Urdu Journalism courses of the Institute on the occasion.<br/><br/>He asked the students to keep abreast with the latest developments, new technology and new modes of communication and should inculcate a habit of reading to remain relevant and effective.<br/><br/>He asked the IIMC to think of offering journalism courses in all national languages of the country. Mr Naidu said, the government will extend all support to the institute in this regard.<br/><br/>He appreciated the IIMC for starting PG Diploma course in Journalism and stressed that Urdu Journalism should be encouraged. He termed the Urdu language as a cultural heritage of the entire country. He said, Urdu is not only linked to muslim community but it is a language of all Indian.<br/><br/>Mr Naidu also thanked Director General of IIMC, K G Suresh for announcing start of courses in Marathi and Malyalam.
