Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu today called for a debate in the country over Uniform Civil Code. Asking people not to politicise the issue, Mr Naidu told reporters in New Delhi that the only objective of the code is to address the issue related to discrimination against women. <br/><br/>The Minister said the government is in no hurry to implement the code and is ready for a detailed debate. He said, the Centre wants to build consensus before considering a step forward.
