Power Minister M Veerappa Moily assured Assam government to provide all possible help to improve the power scenario of the state. Talking to newspersons in Guwahati this evening, Molly said that additional 600 megawatt power will be provided to Assam during 12th year plan. The minister also said that efforts are on so that people of the state can avail electricity in cheapest rate. Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said that power is the basis of the economic growth of any state. Earlier, Moily held a meeting with Gogoi and senior officials on the power scenario of the state.
