VBSY in Tamil Nadu raising awareness through outreach activities in villages, small towns and cities

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Tamilnadu has been raising awareness through outreach activities in villages, small towns and cities. The objective of the yatra is to highlight the various schemes of the Central Government and also to enroll the beneficiaries of such schemes. Akashvani Correspondent reports that the officials of the Government, public sector and banks have been intensely camping on sites to reach out to the people living in far and nearby areas.<br />''<br />'' According to the latest information available 17 crore people have been reached through the yatra throughout the Country. Their health status has been checked. Many have applied for subsidies, loans in banks and have also learned to use drone technology in agriculture.<br />''<br />''Beneficiary 1 Karthika says, I am from Pudupadi, Ranipet District. I am working in the MGNREGA scheme. We are able to clean the water bodies in the villages. This will help in storing water for irrigation which will also be useful for agriculture in a big way. Farmers will be able to reap the benefits if there are more crops. Drinking water is also available because of cleaning and floods are averted.<br />''<br />''Beneficiary 2 Bhuvaneswari says, I am from Mangadu, Kanchipuram District. I am doing AARI work for fabrics. For doing this work as self-employment, the Government is providing Rs. 10 thousand as a loan in first installment. Then I applied for the second loan of Rs 20 thousand after repayment of first loan. We are able to pay it because of the income. Through the yatra, we came to know about the various schemes of the Government. We came to know about Tuberculosis diseases and the treatment for it.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">With 434 locations to be reached in Tamilnadu by the 25th of this month, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has made dreams have been realised and lives are transformed. </span><br />
